Introduction
In the event that it was not possible to achieve the purpose of the foreigner's stay during the period of permitted stay indicated in the visa issued to the foreigner, it is possible to extend the Schengen visa or the national visa. It should be emphasised that these extensions are subject to several criteria and are not made in trivial or foreseeable situations at the time the visa is issued.
The extension of stay may take place only once, except when the foreigner is in a hospital and their state of health makes it impossible to leave the territory of the Republic of Poland.
